The 23′ 1974 Argosy Airstream
The Argosy Airstream is a very bright, open feeling trailer with a 6′ 5″ ceiling height and a
6′ 3″ long double bed. Mostly restored with all the interior restoration finished, new propane and plumbing systems, new tires and break-away switch. Brand new simple to use flick of the thermostat and its on furnace. It still has a few character (body) dings on the outside front that I have not gotten to smoothing out yet so as her exterior is not perfect she is the one trailer I allow new customers to tow. Repeat customers with a good towing history can move up to towing the other trailers but everyone starts with the Argosy.
The ’74 Argosy has a full kitchen that includes a 3 burner stove with oven, range hood fan, double sink, counter height 5.5 cubic foot refrigerator, plus an exterior patrol box kitchen, propane tree and lantern.
There is enough dishes to have 8 people over for a meal. Plus all the pot and pans you would need to cook it.
Sleeps 4 in two double beds. Another boondock special, relax in the woods in comfort and style knowing that with your conservative use of the facilities you can be out in the woods away from services for about a week.
Comes with a large selection of vintage games and activities. Candles for setting the mood and all the camp gear one could possibly need when camping.
The Facilities
The large impeccably clean three piece bathroom has a large shower, sink and toilet all in the same room with a sliding door for privacy.
Customers who wish to self tow must have been previously met and vetted by us and have an approved tow vehicle with brake controller package and have extensive prior towing experience. A dry hook up to your tow vehicle is required several days prior to departure to ensure the trailer fits your tow vehicle properly and your gear is in good working order.
Please note the trailers are NOT allowed to travel more than one kilometre on gravel roads as the risk of breaking a 50 year old impossible to replace window is too great.
Systems
Includes 60 lbs of Propane, 30 Gallons of fresh water, one fully charged deep cycle RV battery and a black water tank, Grey water tanks were not standard in the good old days, generally people just ran a hose from the grey water outlet down behind their camp area. Now a days some sites do not allow that, so a blue buddy grey water tote is included if requested.
