The 23′ 1969 Safari Airstream
Fully restored down the the frame, with a new Dura torque rubber torsion axle, new electric brake assembly and shiny new tires. Brand new propane and plumbing systems. Brand new flick of the switch furnace and beautifully restored light ash woodwork throughout.
She’s a Boondock special
A boondock special means the systems all work even when not hooked up to city power (not the outlet plugs though, those only work when hooked up to city power) with proper conservative use of power and water you are good for a week off grid.
There is no air conditioning unit.
If boondocking is not you style she of course works when hooked up to city power, water and septic.
The Interior
A 6’5″ceiling height and the warm real wood interior make this a wonderfully serene space to relax in. The ’69 Safari’s fully functional restored interior kitchen includes a four burner stove with an oven, range hood fan, sink and a counter height two way refrigerator. The dining table in this model is a cool design that flips, flops and folds to make to table suitable for 2, 4 or 6 guests and it also can completely fold down and out of your way if needed.
Each trailer comes with an exterior patrol box kitchen with propane tree and lantern for cooking outside and lighting up your camp site.
The 3 piece bathroom has a huge double door entrance and includes a small tub and shower combination with the sink and toilet in the same room.
Sleeping arrangements
The Safari has a 6′ 3″ double bed with a very comfortable rubber latex mattress, one single bed and one short single bed. It sleeps three, four if you have a wee person or a fetal position sleeper for the short 3rd bed.
Systems
Includes 60 lbs of Propane, 30 Gallons of fresh water, one fully charged deep cycle RV battery and a black water tank, Grey water tanks were not standard in the good old days, generally people just ran a hose from the grey water outlet down behind their camp area. Now a days some sites do not allow that, so a blue buddy grey water tote is included if requested.
